RECIPE: Buttered Vegetables with Beef Steak and Eggs

I just want to share my other  version of buttered vegetables. This time, I added eggs and left over beef steak.

Preparation time: 10mins Cooking time: 10mins. Good for 1 person.

Below are the ingredients:

  • 2 cloves of garlic minced.
  • Left over beef steak
  • 1/4 part chopped sayote
  • 1/2 piece julienne cut carrots
  • 2 leaves of chinese cabbage (Baguio pechay in Philippines)
  • 1 egg – scrambled
  • Approximately 1 tbsp of butter

Scramble the eggs. Boil the vegetables (carrots and sayote) for 3 mins. After boiling, drain the water and set aside the vegetables. Melt the butter and saute the garlic until its color becomes golden brown. Add the meat from the beef steak, add a tablespoon of its sauce. Pan fry for a minute and a half and add the vegetables and the scramled egg. Pan fry for a minute. And you’re done!

You could add more butter if you want to. I didn’t add any salt because the sauce of the beef steak has a strong taste already and it will bring a flavor to this dish.
